Many people ask us how our process of design works. Well, that’s a tricky question. Each project has its own particular needs and each client has their own tolerance for decision making and change. We try to be sensitive to all of that so our clients can be as comfortable as possible with the entire process.
True professionals like us will listen to you and be aware of your level of comfort in the project especially during the design phase. If you want to jump right in and get it done, we will move at your pace. However, we may suggest tackling a project in smaller bites if the process is making you weary. That doesn’t mean we leave it shelved for months. Maybe just a day or two so we don’t lose focus giving you enough time to get comfortable with the selections we have already made. Often we tackle projects by room or even parts of a room. For instance, we could select tables and upholstery but leave accessories and window treatments for the next meeting.
Communication is also key for creating an enjoyable design process. We also try very hard to educate you on the products, timeline and reasons behind every design decision. Our clients also know to contact us with any questions or concerns right away. No sense losing sleep over anything related to your design. A quick phone call or email can usually alleviate anything on your mind.
Your time is important to us. We work as efficiently as possible so that you aren’t spending nights and weekends out shopping with us. We collect all of the samples we can and bring them to you to see in your space and light. It is the right way to do it in our opinion. In addition, we communicate with any trades needed to accomplish the design so you don’t have to field questions or communicate the design. That’s what we are there for.
It is not just enough for us that you love your final design. It is important to us that you enjoy the entire process along the way.
