Kitchen Makeover
This kitchen was well used and well loved but the small space and awkward layout were typical of homes from the turn of the 20th century. By removing some walls, a breakfast nook/butler’s pantry, and a back stairwell, and by expanding the opening to the dining room, we created an open and inviting kitchen that is infinitely more functional and aesthetically pleasing. We even updated the charming, original stained glass panel from the breakfast nook and kept it as part of the new kitchen. We updated all the appliances and added charging drawers to keep the counters clutter-free. The beautiful, custom copper hood and the unique navy blue beveled mirrored subway tile was a nod to the past while giving a show stopping look.
