Project Overview:

A recent addition to this home created some design challenges for this master bedroom in Verona, NJ.  The window wall opposite the bed in the new addition was meant to be curved making window treatments a challenge.  The homeowners love lots of light in the morning and didn’t want to cover the windows entirely.  This created some considerations for designing window treatments to compliment the windows without blocking any light.  We designed custom swags and silky panels over medallions that allowed us to attach them beautifully using the curves to our advantage.  A sheer swag in the same color as the rest allowed us to compliment the arched window without obscuring daylight.  They also requested a cozy sitting area and lots of storage for clothes.  A traditional design was created based on the homeowner’s love of vintage items.  Custom area rugs ground the space and the hall at the entry of the room.  In that hallway, the contractor added a niche but the homeowner didn’t have any idea what to do there so we found the perfect chest to place there topped by lovely artwork.  It looks like it was designed with that in mind!
